Descendants Hall is located to the east of the main hall of the Dragon King Palace, which was a place for seeking offspring and grandchildren in ancient times. The main entrance is the northwest side gate of the first courtyard of the Tianhou Palace, with a plaque hanging above the gate. Inside the hall, there are high platforms on the east, north, and west sides. On the north platform, there are three connected shrines, with the central shrine featuring a seated statue of the Goddess of Childbirth, and the eastern and western shrines respectively worship statues of the Goddess of Vision and the Goddess of Measles. The Goddess of Vision blesses children with bright minds and lofty ambitions, while the Goddess of Measles blesses children to pass through the measles stage smoothly (in ancient times, the mortality rate of measles in children was extremely high, and the Goddess of Measles emerged to protect children from measles). The hall is equipped with rush mats and incense burners, and there is a ‘treasury’ on the southern wall inside the main entrance. Descendants Hall has always been bustling with incense. It is open all year round, 24 hours a day.
