Diaoluo Mountain Forest Park is one of the four original forest parks in Hainan. With a total area of 379 square kilometers and an annual average temperature of about 20 degrees Celsius, it is a great place to escape the heat. There are numerous natural landscapes here, including giant trees and ancient woods, beautiful lakes and mountains, and more than a hundred waterfalls. Among them, the Fengguoshu Waterfall Group is particularly famous, with a drop of 350 meters, which is very spectacular. There are also scenic spots such as Xiaomei Lake, the Tomb of the Miao King, and Dali Waterfall in the scenic area. Generally, a visit to Diaoluo Mountain National Forest Park can be completed on the same day. If time is not enough, you can also stay overnight at a resort on the mountain. Due to the primitive scenery and the large number of mosquitoes in the mountains and forests, it is recommended to be accompanied by staff in the scenic area or go with experienced hikers when visiting. There is an 800-meter rainforest plank road at the back mountain. Along the way, there is unlimited primitive scenery. At the end, you can see a ‘sacred tree’, which is also a famous scenic spot in the scenic area. It is said to have a history of 3000 years. The better tourist season in Diaoluo Mountain is from November in the dry season to March of the following year. During this period, flowers are in full bloom and butterflies are dancing, which is very beautiful and charming. From the end of May to the end of October every year is the rainy season. April is the transition period between the dry season and the rainy season. There is occasional light rain. The mountains are high and the roads are slippery, which is not very conducive to outdoor sports.
