Constructed in 1889, the Ding Ruchang Memorial Hall is located on the western end of Liugong Island, approximately 200 meters east of the Beiyang Navy Command. It faces south and is a brick and wood structure. The residence covers an area of 7000 square meters and is similar in layout to Ding Ruchang’s former residence in Wanglangzhong Village, Chao County, Anhui Province, divided into three groups with left, central, and right courtyards. The western courtyard serves as the inner residence, the eastern courtyard houses the attendants, and the central courtyard is where Ding Ruchang conducted his official duties, lived, and received guests. The entrance is flanked by guard rooms and a study. The opening hours and business status are subject to the daily opening conditions.
