DingShan Lake is located in DingShan Town, southwest of QiJiang District, and is a high-altitude lake scenic area that integrates cultural and natural landscapes. At an elevation of 899 meters and covering an area of 4.6 million square meters, DingShan Lake offers a cool summer climate, making it an ideal place for summer retreat and returning to nature, and is known as the ‘First Lake of the Chongqing-Guizhou Border’.
Here, the lake waters ripple gently, with towering pines, lush bamboo forests casting graceful reflections, and the lake and mountain scenery complementing each other. DingShan Lake is characterized by five valleys and seven branches, with 75 peaks of varying sizes. The lake water is clear and emerald green, blending with the sky, creating picturesque scenery. Surrounding the lake, there are layered peaks, abundant with ancient pines and cypresses, densely covered with water bamboo and nan bamboo.
The Flower and Fruit Island in the lake resembles the legendary Penglai Mountain, surrounded by water and exceptionally serene. Turtle Mountain, resembling a descending turtle, has a canopy of camphor trees on its back, emitting a year-round fragrance. On the White Crane Mountain Ridge, flocks of white cranes fly among the lush forests, creating a spectacular sight. There are also many natural and cultural landscapes, such as the Ba People relics, Songling Heshou, Changchun Cuizhu, Gao Yan Waterfall, Shi Sun Xiongzi, Guanyin Xi Creek, and Cheng Huang Ancient Temple.
