Dingwuling is located in Changting County (Tingzhou), the capital of Hakka in the world. The village is surrounded by high mountains and dense forests. The air is fresh. The winding paths lead to secluded places. The scenery is picturesque. It still retains the original village form. Yellow mud walls, black-gray tiles, wooden houses, and stone steps can be seen everywhere. The rough and thick stone village gate, the naturally unique old stone slabs, the open old ancestral hall, and the old ancient well from the Qianlong period are the accumulation of history and culture of this village. Among them, the large well in Dingwuling is included in the list of immovable cultural relics in the third national census of cultural relics. The original ecological architectural style, beautiful scenery, and simple folk customs make people linger and forget to return. It has great tourism development value. According to legend, there are no mosquitoes all year round in Dingwuling because there is a stone toad crouching on the roadside outside the village, with its mouth facing Dingwuling. Dingwuling is blessed by the toad. People at the entrance of the village worship the toad stone for generations. On October 1, 2015, it became the photography base of Dingwuling in Fujian Photographers Association and also the photography base station of Fujian Changting Memory Photography Club. It is open all day throughout the year.
