At the entrance of Dong Shiliang Cave, a natural huge rock hangs obliquely from the top like a beam or a rainbow. Hence, it is named ‘Shiliang Cave’ and also known as ‘Shihong Cave’. In front of the cave, there is a temple called ‘Shiliang Temple’, which is one of the eighteen ancient temples in Yandang. There are two pools at the entrance, called ‘Half Moon Pool’. Currently, the old mountain gate faces east. Stones are used to build the gate. A small building is constructed between the two rock walls above the gate. The gate plaque reads ‘Shiliang Cave’. The cave is deep and secluded, high and spacious, and can accommodate a thousand people.
