Located in the Nancheng District of Dongguan City, the Dongguan Botanical Garden covers a total area of 4.5 square kilometers, with the new park area planned to be 2.01 square kilometers. The new park area includes 13 specialized gardens such as the Lychee Garden, Jungle Gully Botanical Garden, Hundred Flowers Stream, International Flower Expo Garden, Orchid Garden, Dongxiang Garden, Bonsai Garden, Tropical Botanical Garden, Medicinal Garden, Bamboo Garden, Ginger Garden, Camellia Garden, and Mountain Garden.
The garden currently preserves 209 families and 1860 species of plants. The Lychee Garden is a key and distinctive area of the park, aiming to collect and preserve lychee germplasm resources from around the world, forming an open platform for global lychee research.
