The Dongjiang Folk Cultural Relics Museum is the first folk-themed cultural relics museum in the Dongjiang River Basin and also a window to display Huizhou’s Dongjiang culture and Hakka folk customs. Its establishment is to collect and display folk cultural relics and folk materials preserved through the ages in the Dongjiang area and conduct textual research on them. Through years of collection and preparation, and with the enthusiastic donations from the general public, the museum displays more than 20,000 cultural relics and more than 100 pictures. The basic exhibitions are divided into seven categories: ancient ceramics, ancient dwellings, golden wood carvings, traditional living utensils, traditional farm tools, cultural relics unearthed from the Dongjiang River, and fine folk crafts.
