The Dongjiang River originates from the beautiful Sanshan Mountain in Anyuan County. It joins the Danshui River flowing through Huiyang from south to north at Sandong in Huizhou and the Xizhi River flowing through Huidong from west to east, forming the main artery of the Dongjiang River water system. For thousands of years, the Dongjiang River water system has nurtured generations of Huizhou people who live and multiply here. It is the mother river of Huizhou.
