The Dongtaihang Scenic Area is located in Wu’an City, Handan, Hebei Province. It is named after being located at the eastern foot of Taihang Mountain. The relatively high altitude is 1428 meters. It belongs to Danxia landform like the Grand Canyon in the United States. It is a mountainous natural scenic area that integrates the majestic, strange, dangerous, precipitous features of Taihang Mountain as well as strange rocks, sea of clouds, tranquility and changes.
The famous 129th Division in history and many older generation revolutionaries once stationed, fought and lived here. The Dongtaihang Scenic Area is invested and built by Zhongjingxin Group. The plank road built on the sheer cliff at an altitude of one thousand meters is regarded as an artificial wonder of Taihang Mountain. Walking on the plank road, clouds are lingering, just like being in a fairyland on clouds. Ascending Dongtaihang, ‘Enjoy the scenery of the celestial ridge and stroll in the clouds’, and life will suddenly become enlightened. Opening hours: From November 1st to October 31st, 08:00 – 16:30. Preferential policies: Children: Children under 1.2 meters (excluding) in height are exempt from tickets. Free.
