Dongya Cliffs is situated at the eastern end of Shengshan Island, where towering cliffs reaching dozens of meters in height stretch into the vast sea. Beneath the cliffs, the waves crash and surge, creating a spectacular scene. Almost no visitor to Shengshan Island misses the opportunity to witness the beautiful sunrise here. Around four or five in the morning, as the sun rises from the sea, the golden rays of light spread across the ocean, stunningly breathtaking.

Nowadays, a walking trail has been constructed on Dongya Cliffs, allowing tourists to walk to the high points of the cliffs and gaze out over the sea and mussel farming areas. Along the way, one can observe the unique island-style houses, scattered fishing boats at sea, and sometimes even encounter local residents fishing on the rocks or collecting shells, embodying the island’s charm.
