Dongya Cliff is located at the eastern end of Shengshan Island. The towering cliffs here reach tens of meters high and stretch into the sea. The waves crash violently against the cliffs, creating a spectacular view.
Almost all visitors to Shengshan Island would not miss the beautiful sunrise here. At around four or five in the morning, the rising sun emerges from the sea, casting golden rays across the water. It is a scene so beautiful that it takes one’s breath away.
Today, a walking path has been constructed on Dongya Cliff. Visitors can reach the heights of the cliff and overlook the sea and mussel farming areas. Along the way, one can see the characteristic houses of the island, scattered fishing boats at sea, and sometimes encounter local residents fishing on the reefs or collecting shellfish. There is a strong island atmosphere.
