Dongyang Mountain Water Curtain Cave is located 20 kilometers east of Xinchang County, at the foot of Dongyang Mountain. A cave opens to the sky with a waterfall hanging at its entrance, cascading down 35 meters high, gushing out like a curtain swaying in the wind, dazzling and bright.
On top of the Water Curtain Cave, there is Qian Gong Terrace, a slab of stone rising into the clouds, said to be the place where Master Zhu spoke the Dharma.
Surrounding the Water Curtain Cave are scenic spots such as the Sunset River and the Lock Green Bridge.
The mountains produce peculiar stones, commonly known as stone buns, which are traditionally believed to be the sacred traces of the Moga patriarch cooking stones for food, with fillings both meat and vegetarian, known as Yu Yu Liang for a day.
The Water Curtain Cave stands 13 meters high, 7 meters deep, and 5 meters wide, with a waterfall hanging at the entrance, plummeting from a huge rock on the mountain top, resembling a beaded curtain, falling into the pool at the cave’s mouth, splashing jade-like waves.
When the mountain breeze blows, the beaded curtain flutters, and the sound of water crashes, creating a magnificent scene.
