Douyun Pavilion marks the entrance to Wuyun Mountain, which is part of the newly designated ‘Ten Scenes of West Lake’ known as ‘Bamboo-lined Path at Yunqi’. Nestled in the Yunqi Valley, this scenic spot lies at the foot of Wuyun Mountain in the southwest corner of West Lake. The bamboo scenery here is unparalleled, offering a serene and tranquil escape compared to other West Lake scenes.
Legend has it that the vibrant auspicious clouds emanating from Wuyun Mountain often linger in this area, hence the name ‘Yunqi’. The pavilion is accessible all year round and remains open throughout the day, allowing visitors to appreciate its beauty at any time.
