Dragon Boat Pond is located in Jimei District, Xiamen City. It was created by Chen Jiageng, who built a dike on the beach to reclaim land, forming an outer, middle, and inner pond, with the outer pond commonly known as the ‘Dragon Boat Pond’, covering an area of 240,000 square meters. Along the banks of the pond, there are seven pavilions of various styles. The scenery is beautiful. If you happen to visit during the Dragon Boat Festival, the pond will be filled with water for dragon boat races, and visitors can also participate in duck catching. It’s quite lively. The pond is open all year round from 8:00 to 18:00.
