The Dragon Gate is the starting point of the second ‘Eighteen Bends’ on Mount Tai. As it is located below the South Heavenly Gate on Mount Tai, on the left there is Feilongyan Rock, and on the right there is Xiangfengling. The two mountains are like dragons. There is an opening in the middle like a gate, so it is called the Dragon Gate. Here is the Dragon Gate archway. On the cliff on the west side of the archway are the two characters ‘Dragon Gate’ inscribed in a list. It was carved by Wei Xiang in the Daoguang period of the Qing Dynasty. The characters are 110 centimeters high and 51 centimeters wide. The two characters are connected as one and written in one stroke. They are in the shape of a signature and look like two flying dragons, magnificent. To the east of the archway is Dalongyu. In the rainy season, all waters return to the gorge. The flying spring is like a pouring waterfall. Open all year round and open all day. The specific business status is subject to the opening situation on that day.
