Longzhua Jiao is located on the southwest coast of Hac Sa Beach in Coloane, Macau, and is named after the approximately 4-meter high, uniquely shaped ‘Dragon Claw Rock’. Legend has it that a young dragon, who ate a heavenly peach without permission, was banished to the mortal world by the Jade Emperor and imprisoned within a large rock, which now displays textures resembling dragon claws, a dragon’s head, body, and scales.
Along the coastline of Longzhua Jiao, one can find golden yellow rocks such as ‘Ape Rock’, ‘Lizard Rock’, ‘Eagle Beak Rock’, and ‘Pig Head Rock’. The area boasts a rich coastal ecological environment, and the black sand beach waves crashing against the shore, combined with the natural scenery that changes with the day and night, has become a favorite spot for many photography enthusiasts.
