Duobao Lecture Temple is located in Sanmen County, Zhejiang Province. It was established during the Eastern Jin Dynasty by the eminent monk Tanyou and once served as a subordinate temple of Guoqing Temple on Tiantai Mountain. During the Tongzhi era of the Qing Dynasty, the monk Jijing reconstructed the temple. In 1997, under the guidance of Master Zhimin, a new master hall was built with a Tibetan architectural style, featuring a copper Dharma wheel, deer, and a treasure tripod on the roof. Outside the temple’s mountain gate, there is a hollow tree with a history of over five hundred years. To ensure that monks have time to focus on their studies and practice, Duobao Lecture Temple does not participate in sutra chanting, does not receive incense visitors, and does not engage in business activities. The temple is open all year round from 7:00 to 17:00.
