East Imperial Residence in Dai Temple

The East Imperial Residence is located in Dai Temple in Tai’an City. It was formerly known as the Welcome Hall. It was built in the Yuan Dynasty and was a place for dignitaries to stay and rest. Later, it was expanded and rebuilt during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty and changed into a lodging place for imperial visits. It is a relatively complete Qing Dynasty courtyard preserved in Dai Temple.
