If you are a student seeking good grades or have children in your family who are studying, a visit to Xie Ma First Juren Village is highly recommended! Xie Ma Juren Village is a place of exceptional talent and natural beauty. During the Ming and Qing dynasties, more than 670 individuals achieved scholarly honors in the imperial examinations, including 285 as监生, 贡生, and 举人, and over 430 individuals holding positions from the ninth to the second rank, with two at the second rank, four at the third rank, and more than 50 at ranks three to five.

Among them, the literati include the juren Liang Yuangui who rose to the second rank, and the military include the military juren Liang Kai who rose to the fifth rank, both celebrated for their accomplishments in both literature and martial arts. In modern times, the village has produced over 200 doctors, masters, and university students working and studying both domestically and internationally. Xie Ma is renowned as a famous village with the phrase ‘Surrounded by elegant beauty and nurtured by wondrous earth’.

The village’s unique topography, backed by three mountain ranges and facing four platforms, with the Jin River encircling it and a ‘jade belt’ around its waist, is known as a blessed land of ‘double dragon convergence’. The layout of the village resembles a resting horse drinking from a spring, with alleys fanning out in a shape that subtly captures the form and spirit of a mighty steed. Centuries-old houses stand close together, emphasizing the layout of ‘four waters returning to the hall’, exuding an air of mystery at every turn.

Located along the Jinjiang River in the central part of Enping City, known as the hometown of hot springs in China, Xie Ma has a history of over 700 years since its establishment during the Yuan Dynasty. It is famous for its eight resounding names and has become a popular destination for tourism and education. Opening hours are from 09:00 to 21:00 all year round.
