Erlong Mountain Scenic Area is located to the north of the Yangkou Scenic Area in Laoshan, facing the Yangkou Scenic Area and Laoshan National Forest Park to the south, and adjacent to the Qingdao Seaside Sightseeing Avenue to the north. The area boasts a pleasant climate and beautiful scenery, with two reservoirs, Xiaowang Reservoir and Tangzi Reservoir, which are the birthplaces of Laoshan’s waters.
Erlong Mountain Scenic Area is characterized by towering ancient trees, towering strange rocks, and a year-round misty atmosphere, with over 90% of the mountain area covered by greenery. Around Tangzi Reservoir, there are stone carvings from the Northern Song Dynasty and Ming and Qing Dynasties, as well as poems inscribed by the Song Dynasty calligrapher Zhao Mengfu during his visit. There is also the Xie Li Cave, where two crown princesses lived during the Song Dynasty’s troubled times, and more than 50 scenic spots including Xing Stone Mountain, Immortal Cypress, Huangling Back, Thumb, and Guangguang Gully.
The area also has a long-standing tea culture, with thousands of acres of Laoshan tea plantations, and some of the older tea trees are over 30 years old.
Opening hours: March 1st to June 30th from 07:00 to 17:30; July 1st to August 31st from 06:00 to 19:00; September 1st to November 30th from 07:00 to 17:30; December 1st to February 28th from 07:30 to 17:00.
Preferential policies: Children under 6 years old (inclusive) or under 1.4 meters in height (inclusive) enter for free. Students aged between 6 and 18 years old (inclusive) and full-time students in universities and below can enjoy discounts with valid identification. Elderly people aged 60 and above (inclusive) enter for free with valid identification. Veterans, disabled persons, and journalists can purchase tickets with valid identification at a discount.
