Eslite Bookstore was established in 1989. In the early stage, it mainly focused on books in the fields of art and humanities. Subsequently, branches were opened one after another, and the books became more comprehensive. Eslite also opened shopping malls and entered the department store retail industry. Some stores are also equipped with cafes, allowing people to enjoy a comfortable life while reading.
In addition to a rich selection of books, the three-story store also has restaurants, tea rooms, and creative home products for sale. The branch at Hysan Place occupies three floors (8th to 10th floors), including the main book area, new book area, book exhibition area, lifestyle and children’s area, etc. There are many chairs in the bookstore for guests to sit and read, which is quite user-friendly. On the 9th floor, there are literature area, humanities and social sciences area, art area, and audio-visual area. On the 10th floor, there are magazines and tourism zones.
