The Guangzhou Exhibition Park covers an area of nearly 200,000 square meters. This large park located next to the Pazhou Convention and Exhibition Center is characterized by its original ecology and adopts a fully open design. Citizens can have close contact with the lake and vegetation. Its predecessor was the Pazhou Sports and Fitness Park. To welcome the Asian Games, Haizhu District has implemented an upgrade and renovation of the Exhibition Park, combining sidewalks, bicycle lanes and park paths, retaining the original big trees, creating shaded avenues and creating a beautiful landscape belt.
The surrounding roads have also been upgraded in terms of greening. The bicycle lanes and sidewalks are rebuilt inside the green belt, becoming a veritable greenway. Entering the Exhibition Park, one can see a rural scenery. The lake is clear to the bottom, and the green trees are swaying and extending all the way to the river. The park renovation focuses on adding more than 50 kinds of trees and shrubs in view of the relatively monotonous original plant varieties, especially adding characteristic flowering tree species such as Bauhinia variegata and Magnolia, enriching plant varieties and enhancing the landscape effect.Opening hours: Open all day all year round.
