When visiting Mount Putuo, it is essential not to overlook the unique scenery of Fa Hua Ling Cave. Located at the eastern gate of Ji Bao Ridge, Fa Hua Ling Cave is one of the twelve renowned landscapes of Mount Putuo. To reach the cave, take a left turn after passing the Hong Fa Fang and ascend the path. After passing the ancient straw shed (now a civilian house), you will arrive at the Fa Hua Ling Cave. The area is characterized by large rocks stacked and interlocked, forming dozens of caves: some with hollowed-out passages just wide enough to crawl through; some spacious like rooms, housing stone statues; and some with abundant upper parts and narrow lower parts, where water drips from the rocks, forming pools beneath. Despite the numerous caves on Mount Putuo, each one is uniquely fascinating. Outside the cave, there are inscriptions such as ‘Blue Sky Blessing Land’, ‘Mount Putuo Rock’, and ‘Southeast Pillar’. The geographical location is at the eastern gate of Ji Bao Ridge. It is open all year round, 24 hours a day, with specific operational status subject to daily opening conditions.
