Fangzi Town is a complex of buildings left over from the colonial period between 1898 and 1914 by Germany and Japan. It features 103 German-style buildings and 63 Japanese-style buildings, which were almost abandoned but have been progressively protected and developed by the local government in recent years. The restored areas are mainly in the southern part, with attractions such as the 1898 Beer City, Yokota Inn, and Fangzi Art Gallery now established. The German military hospital and headquarters are currently under renovation. The lawns, roads, decorations, and greenery within the scenic area have taken shape. The scenic area is open all year round from 09:00 to 17:00, with some areas having different opening hours. The specific business status depends on the day’s opening conditions.
