Fantasy Kung Fu Night integrates technological interaction, martial arts, gourmet food, and nighttime entertainment into one experience. Launched on New Year’s Eve in 2021 at Hengqin Innovation Square, it is one of the earlier large-scale immersive light and shadow interactive experience projects in Zhuhai. The project was created by a team led by Wang Zhigang, the head of the Information Art Design Department at the Academy of Arts and Design, Tsinghua University. It combines outstanding Chinese culture with nighttime entertainment to create an ‘adventure journey’ with Chinese martial arts and Chinese cuisine as the narrative axis.
Interactive experience projects in Fantasy Kung Fu Night span both indoor and outdoor areas. With the 5000 square meters outdoor garden at Hengqin Innovation Square as the core, more than ten experience areas are set up, including the Qin Fantasy Realm, Wristband Market, Kung Fu Village, Dusk Cooking House, Stone Tales, Flowing Stream Mouth, Thousandfold Gate, and Misty Valley. Every day, it opens an extended play mode for visitors.
