Fashan Temple, formerly known as Fatong Temple, is located at the foot of Hama Mountain in Sanyang Street, Ouhai District, Wenzhou City, Zhejiang Province, covering an area of approximately 2000 square meters. Constructed on the mountain, the temple faces north to south, with the North Yin Xianxiang islands to the north and the Luo Mountain peaks to the south. The temple was initiated by the devout follower, Mei Kangliang, in 1980, after the manifestation of the holy monk, Master Yingyuan. With the financial support of his mother, they gathered land from their own mountains and, through various efforts and contributions, finally completed the construction of the Mahavira Hall, the front courtyard, and the kitchen. In 1996, two side rooms were added to the main hall, and in 1998, the kitchen was expanded to include a second-story guest rooms. In 2004, an additional two-story building was constructed, with the first floor designated for dining and the second floor for guest rooms, totaling 20 guest rooms and 40 beds. The temple is open all year round from 8:00 to 17:00.
