Fatang Hall, also known as Fayu Hall, was built in memory of the monk Yishou from the Later Liang Dynasty who self-immolated in a pyre to pray for rain. During the Qing Dynasty, it served as the school building for the Fujian Naval Academy. Behind the Mahavira Hall, there are over 70 painted figures on the ceiling. Inside the hall, a ‘Baoluo Zhuangyan’ golden plaque hangs. The hall is open to visitors from 6:30 to 17:30 all year round.
