Feitian Mountain National Geological Park

Feitian Mountain National Geological Park is mainly composed of stockade (fort) Danxia landform. It contains geological relic types such as Cretaceous faulted basin, Carboniferous karst cave and hot spring water body. There are densely distributed stone fields, stalagmites, stalactites, stone pillars, stone curtains and stone draperies with various shapes and magnificent scenes. It integrates mountains, waters, forests, caves and Buddhas and combines masculinity, strangeness, danger, beauty and ingenuity.

In addition to natural landscapes, there are also human landscapes such as village houses, streets and alleys, stone Buddha temples, tombs and hanging coffins. The famous ‘Sleeping Beauty’ in the scenic area is a great wonder. Standing on the Juxian Terrace of Feitian Mountain and looking at this mountain from a distance, it is like an elegant sleeping beauty with ‘pillowing her head in the south, feet facing the north, having classical buns, a small nose, towering breasts, a flat abdomen and slender legs’.

Inside Feitian Mountain, there are many rocks. In the mountain, there is a millennium hanging coffin full of legendary colors. Xu Xiake once praised here that ‘all the peaks at Jiangkou are all standing with stone cliffs. There is no mountain that is not strange and no inch of land that is not beautiful’, and carved the words ‘inch of land is beautiful’ which still exist today. The ‘First Danxia Cave’ and ‘First Gate in the World’ in the park – the natural stone bridge is magnificent.

The entrance of the natural stone bridge is suspended high. The cave is warm in winter and cool in summer. The environment is quiet and magnificent. It is really a unique wonder of Tianshan Mountain. The cliff walls around Liyu Stockade are steep. Ancient trees soar into the sky and shrubs surround it. The autumn scenery of red maples draws a ten-mile corridor, which is extremely beautiful. There are also the Virgin Rock and Yin-Yang Rock, which are very similar to the source of life, and they are vivid.
