Fenbang Alley is located in the southern part of Shao Honggang, Xiangtang Town. According to legend, this place was originally the cemetery of a man named Lu Bang during the Ming Dynasty, covering an area of tens of acres, hence the name Fenbang Alley.

Within the alley, there are the renowned Lu Bang Ginkgo trees, two in total, a pair of male and female. Surrounding Lu Bang’s cemetery, there are small rivers dug around it, with two bridges built above. One is called Wen’an Bridge, and the other is called Jinyin Bridge. Around the tomb, there are stone archways, stone lions, stone turtles, and a stone tablet recording Lu Bang’s life.

Fenbang Alley connects to Wufu Bridge in the east, Lujia Bridge in the west, and Nantang Bridge in the south, presenting a considerable scale. Originally, Fenbang Alley was 107 meters long and 5 meters wide, but now it has been extended to 209 meters long and 1-7 meters wide. In 1982, the dirt road was replaced with a cement surface. Currently, within Fenbang Alley, there are rows of residential and staff housing, home to hundreds of families.
