Located on the east side of Shanwei City by the Pinqing Lake, Fengshan Ancestral Temple Tourist Area is encircled by the coastal avenue leading to the city center, with a view of Yuzai Island to the east. The temple was first constructed around 1636 during the Chongzhen era of the Ming Dynasty and later expanded during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, maintaining a constant stream of worshippers for centuries.


Fengshan Ancestral Temple is not only a renowned scenic spot in Shanwei City but also a pilgrimage site for the people of Eastern Guangdong and coastal fishermen who worship Mazu. The tourist area currently features various buildings rich in folk customs, including the Tianhou Pavilion, Bell and Drum Towers, Mazu Stone Statue, and the Mazu Sacred Traces Museum within Fengshan Park. The Mazu Sacred Traces Museum is an art gallery dedicated to the life, legends, and sacred traces of Mazu, providing visitors from afar with a comprehensive understanding of this unique Lingnan sacrificial custom.


Opening times are from 08:30 to 18:00 all year round. Preferential policy for children: Free entry for children 1.4 meters (inclusive) and below.
