Fengsheng Ancient Town is located in the northeast of Banan District. It is 61 kilometers away from Jiefangbei, the center of Chongqing. It is the intersection of Banan, Fuling and Nanchuan districts. The saying ‘one foot on three counties’ vividly and objectively illustrates the location of the ancient town. At the end of the Ming Dynasty and the beginning of the Qing Dynasty, the market town was built. It was once an important post station for Chongqing Prefecture to Nanchuan and Fuling. The mountains in the upper area of the ancient town trough are very steep and precipitous, becoming a barrier to enter the territory. In the old days, many mountain strongholds were built. The identifiable ancient stronghold sites today include Tianping Stronghold, Gongshen Stronghold, Laoya Stronghold, Tiewa Stronghold, Guanshan Stronghold and Shengping Stronghold. What is even more fascinating is the colorful flagstone old street in the ancient town. The relatively complete flagstone streets preserved in the ancient town are Fushou Street, Cross Street and Half Street. On both sides of the old street of the ancient town are 2-3 storey shops with all-wooden bucket structure. Behind the shops are mostly quadrangles with black tiles and blue bricks. The eaves, halls, doors and windows are mostly decorated with opera stories, fish, insects, birds and beasts, with a typical Huizhou style. This characteristic is rare among many ancient towns in Chongqing. Therefore, when visiting Fengsheng, you must walk through the streets and households carefully and go deep into the residences to gain something. The local villagers are extremely hospitable. When tourists visit and take photos casually, they will also offer tea or invite tourists into the main room and sit down to talk about human affairs and old events slowly.

The specific business status and opening hours are subject to the opening situation on that day.
