Former Residence of Jiang Guangnai

The former residence of Jiang Guangnai, also known as Liyin Garden, is located in Sanjiang Natural Village, Nanzha Village, Humen Town, Dongguan City, Guangdong Province. The garden is named after the extensive planting of lychees. It was first built during the Daoguang and Xianfeng periods of the Qing Dynasty and was created by Jiang Lixiang, the grandfather of Jiang Guangnai, a famous anti-Japanese general.

The former residence of Jiang Guangnai is an elegant western villa-style garden building. With a total area of 1551 square meters, it is filled with lychees, longans, magnolias and other trees. The fruit trees in the garden block the sun, creating a rare shade. There are three characters ‘Liyin Garden’ engraved on the horizontal plaque above the gate of Liyin Garden. On both sides of the gate is a couplet: ‘Who says a dragon still lies when building a hut? One should laugh at a bird being ordinary when writing on the door.

‘ Opening hours: Open from Tuesday to Sunday throughout the year, from 9:00 to 17:00.
