The Former Site of Japanese Higher Girls’ School is located in the Shibei District and was built in 1917, known at the time as ‘Hongyu Middle School’. It has been used as a school building since the victory of the Anti-Japanese War and the liberation of Qingdao, and is now the teaching building of the School of Medicine at Qingdao University. The building features a three-story reinforced concrete asymmetrical structure. The main building is four stories high, with a high-rise pointed quadrilateral tower at the entrance and a triangular sloped roof, which forms the central focus of the entire building’s asymmetrical composition.
