Li Yaoting’s Former Residence

Li Yaoting’s former residence is a small building shaded by the towering Huangge trees, facing south and north, with three stories on the front and four on the back, creating an orderly and picturesque structure. The entire architectural form resembles a ‘ship’, and its combination of brick, wood, and blue tiles, along with the rounded corners of the building, reflects a blend of Chinese and Western architectural styles that was particularly common during the port’s opening period.
