The site of the ‘Advance Newspaper’ is located on Zhengjie, Ye Maoxi, Xuantanmiao, Nan’an District, approximately 7 kilometers away from Nanping.
The original building is a brick and wood structure with one floor above and one below, which was first constructed in the 1930s, covering an area of 212 square meters and a building area of 350 square meters.
In July 1947, based on the needs of underground party members and progressive masses who were eager to hear the voice of the party at that time, the Chongqing Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China published an underground organ newspaper for the Chongqing Municipal Committee, based on the ‘Nameless Small Newspaper’, and named it ‘Advance Newspaper’.
