The Former Site of the Tsingtao Governor’s Residence was once the seat of power in Qingdao. In 1902, this governor’s residence was constructed directly south of Guanhai Mountain, resembling a watchful lion facing the main channel of the Jiaozhou Bay. Designed by German architects, the building exudes an impression of grandeur and solemnity. Visitors are only allowed to admire the exterior, and the specific operational status is subject to the day’s opening conditions.
