Fringe Club Hong Kong

The Fringe Club is located in the bustling Central district of Hong Kong. Constructed in 1890, it is a historical building with red and white bricks, standing three stories high. This century-old structure, originally a dairy company’s cold storage, has now been transformed into a contemporary art space. It offers free exhibition and performance venues for local and international artists and serves as a gathering place for art enthusiasts to appreciate performances.
Admission to the Fringe Club is free, and within its premises, there are numerous shops, primarily galleries dealing in domestic and international art pieces. Regular performances are held here (for a fee), and visitors can also enjoy the rooftop garden where an open-air restaurant allows you to sip coffee and enjoy sandwiches amidst an artistic ambiance.

This location was featured in Leslie Cheung’s movie ‘A Chinese Odyssey Part Two: Cinderella’, where he played the piano. Although the piano might no longer be here, you can still immerse yourself in the place that exudes his strong artistic charm.

The surrounding area of the Fringe Club is characterized by narrow, steep roads. After visiting during the day, you can leisurely stroll to nearby Gas Lamp Street. At night, you can head to Lan Kwai Fong to experience Hong Kong’s vibrant nightlife.

Opening hours vary for different venues; for details, please refer to the official website: http://www.hkfringeclub.com/ Amenities include restrooms and restaurants.
