A national 3A-level tourist attraction, located within the Fu Da Ceramics Co., Ltd. in the Ceramics Industrial Park of Gaobei Town, Dapu County. Established in 2004, the tourism area relies on Fu Da Ceramics Co., Ltd. and integrates ceramic industry sightseeing, experience, and scientific education into a comprehensive tourist area. In 2010, it was recognized as a model base for science and industrial tourism in Guangdong Province.
The Fu Da Ceramics Industrial Tourism Area is divided into seven major areas: raw material processing area, ceramic production area, product display area, masterwork display area, pottery experience area, ancient ceramics display area, and ancient dragon kiln area. It primarily showcases the series of processes from raw materials to finished products in ceramics, as well as the rich ceramic culture of masterworks, ancient ceramics history, and ancient dragon kilns, while providing self-service pottery experiences and ceramic scientific knowledge.
Among them, the ancient dragon kiln is located next to the ancient dragon kiln site of the Song and Yuan dynasties in ‘Wanyao Creek’ village, the birthplace of Dapu ceramics, over 800 meters away from the tourism area. The ancient dragon kiln, built along the mountains and waters and lying on the hillside, resembles a reclining dragon, hence the name dragon kiln, and is known as the ‘living fossil’ of the ceramics industry. After restoration and protection by the Fu Da Ceramics Industrial Tourism Area, the ancient dragon kiln has regained its historical complete appearance, possessing high historical and cultural value as well as educational significance.
In addition, the tourism area is also equipped with supporting facilities such as a visitor service center, parking lot, tourist public toilets, shopping mall, and infirmary. The opening hours are 8:30-12:00 and 13:00-17:30.
