The Qingzhou Ancient City was originally constructed during the Northern Wei Dynasty and served as the prefecture office during the Jin, Yuan, Ming, and Qing Dynasties. Initially, it was an earthen city, and the brick city was built in the third year of the Hongwu era. The city wall stands 12 meters high, 6 meters thick, and stretches 13 li and 108 steps long, with 1777 battlements. There are four city gates: Haiyan, Daizong, Fucai, and Zhanchen. The Fucai Gate Tower is located at the eastern side of the Qingzhou Ancient City at the Ma Daokou. The opening hours are from 08:00 to 17:30 all year round.
