Located in Shipai Village, Zhongduan Beiqiao Road, Yixi Town, Xiaqiao District, Chaozhou, there stands a privately-owned museum, Fucheng Folklore Museum.
The museum is divided into seven major sections: Agricultural Tools, Folk Culture, Intangible Cultural Heritage, Ancient Books and Newspapers, Sound and Shadow Preservation, Plaques and Couplets, and Chaozhou Red Education Base, collecting nearly ten thousand pieces of various items.
It showcases the production and folk culture of the ancestors of Chaozhou as the main line, highlighting the characteristic culture and production and living customs of Chaozhou’s folk customs.
It is an ‘encyclopedia’ that displays the history and life of Chaoshan people.
