Fufu Study Room is located at No. 91, Xiaowen Street, Haishu District, Ningbo City, and is the book collection building of Mr. Feng Mengzhu, a renowned book collector and catalog scholar from Eastern Zhejiang. The name ‘Fufu’ originates from Wang Yanshou’s ‘Lu Ling Xian Dian Fu’ in ‘Wenxuan’, which means like a cunning rabbit curling up beside its feet, not seeking fame, diligently studying, and carefully conducting academic research.
The current architecture of Fufu Study Room faces east and is flanked by side rooms. It was fully renovated in December 2009, and the Feng Mengzhu Memorial Hall (Fufu Study Room) opened to the public with a fresh look. Inside the building, there is an exhibition on the life and achievements of Mr. Feng Mengzhu, which uses a large number of pictorial materials and physical objects to display his life, writings, book collection achievements, and the deeds of donating his collection to the state, vividly and accurately depicting Mr. Feng Mengzhu’s life.
Opening hours: 08:30-16:30, January 1st to December 31st.
