Furong Mountain is a famous historical and cultural mountain in Shaoguan. Historical records show that in the Western Han Dynasty 2100 years ago, Taoists practiced Taoism and made elixirs here. In the Tang Dynasty, monks built temples here. It is a sacred place for both Taoism and Buddhism. Generations of literati have left many poems. Furong Mountain is also rich in mineral resources. There was a glorious history of coal mining and limestone mining.


Up to now, there are still a large number of mining relics remaining on the mountain. The park takes the theme sculpture square scenic area, garden sketch scenic area, and mine park museum as the main scenic areas. In addition, there are also scenic spots such as Rongshan Ancient Temple, meteorological station, observation deck, Hibiscus Garden, Magnolia Garden, Furong Immortal Cave, and Furong Lake.
