Furong Temple was first built in mid-autumn of the twelfth year of Chongzhen in the Ming Dynasty. It has a history of more than 400 years. It is located in Baoshan Forest Park, Huangjiang, Dongguan. ‘Baoshan stone urn gives birth to hibiscus’ was once one of the eight scenic spots in Dongguan. For half a century, the local people’s pity and nostalgia for the collapse of Furong Temple have been long and strong.

Visits and remembrances of the ruins of Furong Temple by all sectors of society have never been interrupted. In 2004, Master Liaokong had an interactive induction with this long-silent blessed land and had a mutual understanding. At present, he vows: This is the place. Take on difficulties and responsibilities. Comply with sentient beings and continue the wisdom life. Good people from all directions contribute with all their strength.

The foundation was laid on June 25, 2005. The mountain gate and laypeople’s building were completed and put into use on January 21, 2007, and a ceremony was held. On that day, Dharma rain and sweet dew, kind faces, believers from all directions, and elders from all mountains focused on the grand occasion and shared the joy. The towering posture of two ancient camphor trees beside the temple that are over a hundred years old tells of the once prosperous ancient temple.

In recent years, the number of good men and women and tourists who come to visit, learn from and worship at Furong Temple has been increasing continuously. In the future, Furong Temple is expected to become an attractive Buddhist and tourist place. Opening hours: Open from 08:00 to 17:00 all year round. The specific business status is subject to the opening situation on that day.
