Fushansuo was established by the Ming government on the coast of the Yellow Sea in the middle of the 14th century, during the Hongwu period of the Ming Dynasty, to resist the attacks of Japanese pirates from the sea. It is located in Shinan District, Qingdao City. In 1992, the Qingdao Municipal Government made a decision to move eastward. The office building of the municipal Party committee and government and the sculpture ‘May Wind’ as the new symbol of Qingdao rose from the former vegetable fields. Business buildings sprang up like mushrooms. The area under the jurisdiction of the former Fushansuo Village has become the economic and political center of Qingdao City. Opening hours: open all day throughout the year.
