Ganzhou Forest Zoo, covering an area of over 300 acres, is home to nearly a hundred species of wild animals, including several rare national species. It has become an ecological park that integrates plant and animal science popularization with various features and viewing functions. Within the park, there are facilities such as a sea lion performance hall, animal behavior display area, Swan Lake, Crane Island, Zebra Pavilion, Predator Zone, Primate Zone, Monkey Mountain, Omnivorous Animal Viewing Area, Bear Pool Paradise, Red Panda Pavilion, Bird Park, and a bird viewing area.
In 2012, the zoo was designated as a wildlife rescue station by the city’s forestry department and has since rescued and adopted over 500 wild animals of various kinds. Approximately 30,000 to 50,000 young people visit the zoo every winter and spring to participate in plant and animal science research activities, which has been very effective in educating youth about caring for animals and the environment.
The zoo is open all year round from 08:30 to 17:30. Concessions: Children under 1.2 meters tall (excluding), with one accompanying adult allowed to bring up to 2 children for free; children between 1.2 meters (including) and 1.5 meters (excluding) enjoy discounted rates. Elderly: Those aged 65 and above with ID, free entry. Active military officers: With military ID, free entry. Disabled individuals: With disability ID, free entry. Tour guides: With tour guide ID, free entry. Veterans: With relevant documents, half price.
Additional note: The ticket price does not include the entrance fees for any pavilions within the park or any other expenses.
