The exhibition hall features over 600 exhibits, mostly genuine pieces, sourced mainly from the local community, divided into nearly 30 sections, condensing more than 870 years of Gaoqiao’s history. It provides a comprehensive reflection of Gaoqiao’s historical culture, production life, and local customs. The museum is located in the district’s cultural heritage site, Yangxiantang, which is situated by the Gaoqiao Port and features a beautiful blend of Chinese and Western architectural styles. After crossing the Ji Jing Road Bridge and walking for about ten minutes, you will arrive at the museum, with beautiful scenery and ancient charm along the way. Many old residences are still preserved, such as the Zhong Family Residence, Du Yuesheng’s Ancestral Hall, Huang Family Residence, Jingyetang, Yangxiantang, and Yin Family Garden.
