Performing Arts World · 2024 International Theatre Invitational Exhibition Giorgia Fumanti, born in the medieval village of Fivizzano in Tuscany, Italy, and raised in the nearby town of Aulla. This town is located on the edge of the thirteenth-century Brunella Fortress and within the renowned, picturesque Cinque Terre region of Monterosso al Mare. She initially studied vocals at the highly respected Parma Music Academy (Alessandro Pozzo Institute) in Italy, and later under the tutelage of private vocal coaches in Italy and Canada, she is currently a favored student of Professor William Riley in New York City, known for his work with famous artists such as Celine Dion and Luciano Pavarotti. Giorgia Fumanti now resides in the Laurentians region of Quebec, Canada.
Recently, Giorgia Fumanti was honored with the AMA Music Award for Most Popular at the Kremlin Palace in Moscow, Russia, and she has also won the prestigious Premio Lunezzia Nel Mondo Award in Italy. In 2010, during the Shanghai World Expo, she was selected to perform ‘Better City Better Life’ with renowned Chinese singer Liao Changyong for the event, and also sang at the Beijing Olympics on CCTV programs, as well as at the closing ceremony of the Shanghai Special Olympics. She performed the national anthem before the National Ice Hockey All-Star Game in Dallas, USA. Over the years, she has sung for several notable figures, including former U.S. Vice President Al Gore, governors of Georgia, Texas, and Nevada. She also performed for former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg and other distinguished guests at Gracie Mansion, the mayoral residence in New York City.
Fumanti’s album titled ‘From My Heart’ has topped the charts, ranking among the top 20 crossover artists in Japan and South Africa. The theme song for the movie ‘Elysium’ also placed fifth on the crossover music charts. To date, Fumanti has released nine solo albums, with the latest two being ‘Essence’ and ‘Noël en lumière’. She has also performed and recorded the duet ‘Nessum Dorma’ with world-renowned tenor Luciano Pavarotti.
In addition, she has also collaborated with tenor José Carreras, Michael Bolton, the Three Tenors and other famous singers. In China, she has also performed with Han Hong, Jackie Chan, Han Lei, Wei Wei, Dai Yuqiang, Liao Changyong and Ding Yi.
