Gold Valley Drifting scenic area is located in the canyon southeast of the main peak of Niutou Mountain in Lianzhu Township, Suichang County. The scenic area is 25 kilometers away from Suichang County, 18 kilometers away from the Suichang East exit of the Longli Expressway, and 6 kilometers away from the Suichang Gold Mine Tourism Area. The drifting is about 3 kilometers long with a drop of about 160 meters, featuring more than 20 sections with a single drop as large as 16 meters. The scenic area is lush with vegetation, fresh air, and pure water that is directly drinkable mountain spring water. Here, apart from the sounds of flowing water, wind, birds, and insects, there is no noise or pollution to be detected. The entire Gold Valley Drifting scenic area is a new landscape that integrates mountains, water, forests, pools, gorges, and canyons. Both banks of the river are planted with vegetation, making the jungle canyon unique in its charm. Drifting downstream in a kayak, one is surrounded by beautiful scenery, encircled by mountains, with cliffs rising steeply and dense forests. Occasionally, the sound of flowing water and the ringing of Zen bells can be heard. It feels like surfing in the East Sea and sightseeing in the South Sea. In the middle reaches, the gorge is steep with strange rocks, crystal-clear water, and splashing waves, all the way drifting with the fragrance of flowers and the joy of birds. In the downstream, there are many wide waters and beaches, crisscrossing paths, truly embodying the phrase ‘rowing on clear waves, as if in a painting’.
