The Golden Coast Resort is located on the southwest coast of SanShan Island in Laizhou City, adjacent to the newly established gold mine in SanShan Island to the northeast, and extends southwest to DiaoLongMouth, with a total planned area of 20 square kilometers. It is a golden coast relatively close to the provincial capital, Jinan. The coastline stretches 108 kilometers, and the coastal shallow sea waters have good water quality with transparency mostly above 5 meters and few polluting floating objects. The water temperature is roughly the same as the air temperature. The highest temperatures occur in August, usually around 28 degrees Celsius, lasting for about 20 days. In May, the temperature ranges from 17 to 21 degrees Celsius. The seawater quality and temperature are suitable for summer vacationing. The Golden Sand Beach at Laizhou’s Golden Coast is a pure sand beach with a gentle slope and clean water quality. Additionally, the 76,000 mu of coastal protection forest along the 108-kilometer coastline of Laizhou City also provides a huge green protective umbrella for the Golden Sand Beach, creating an oxygen bar. The natural tourism resources and marine historical culture of Laizhou’s coast complement each other, with vast pine forests, golden beaches, clear seawater, and rich gold resources. There is the famous Donghai Temple Sea Sacrifice Culture, the immortal-seeking and medicine-seeking culture of SanShan Island by Qin and Han emperors, and the coastal gold mining and refining culture, which is known as the Golden Coast.
