Golden Gate National Park brings together the rich cultural and historical sites and natural ecosystems of Kinmen. Some of the more well-known attractions include: Qionglin Cai Clan Ancestral Hall, Wentai Pagoda, Huang’s Youtang Villa in Shuitou, Xujiang Xiaowo Group Memorial, Qiu Lianggong Cemetery, Hanying Yungen Memorial, Zhenwei Residence, Qionglin Yimen Sanjie Archway, Haiyin Temple Shimen Pass, Shuiwei Tower, Cai Panlong Tomb, etc. Each ancient site records its traces in history.

There are three visitor centers in Golden Gate National Park: Rushan Visitor Center, Zhongshan Forest Visitor Center, and Lieyu Visitor Center. Among them, the Zhongshan Forest Visitor Center is located within the Zhongshan Memorial Forest. The red and gray building is particularly eye-catching in the midst of lush greenery.

The visitor centers showcase the three major tourist resources of Golden Gate National Park: military relics, natural ecosystems, and cultural history. The Circular Ecology Exhibition Hall presents important ecological habitats in Kinmen in a 360-degree manner, which is vivid and realistic. The battle historical sites are mainly presented through pictures and text explanations, and various weapons that have experienced battles of different scales can also be seen. In addition, multimedia video explanation services are also provided in the museum (reservations are required for groups of 10 or more three days in advance).

It is open from 8:00 – 17:00 throughout the year.
